Who doesn't love Dean and DeLuca? Who doesn't love just being in the store...dreaming of a perfect world?? I love this place. I love the ambience and I love that Felicity worked here. Dean and DeLuca is a true classic. Coming in for breakfast and coffee was the highlight of my day. Every time I'm in NYC, I visit at least one. Oh how I love them.

went here w some co workers for lunch. I wanted a Caesar salad and they have the salads pre-made. All I'm going to say is hair in my salad. And roach in my take-out bag.

My brother raves about this place so you know I had to try. This location is across the street from the port authority and has a very clean set up. This is like a deli/restaurant/bakery. I went with the dinner special where you pick one meat and 2 sides. It isn't too expenive for nyc I think the total was $15. I went with the falafel as my protein option with beet salad and cauliflower side. The beet salad and cauliflower were delicious but the falafel was very dry. Falafel usually have a good flavor but these didn't.
I also had to try the chicken pot pie since it looked like it could be a home run. I was dead wrong. It was below average. They had 2 pieces of chicken and the rest was potatoes. The inside was a weird gummy consistency . It was almost like a bechamel.
Dean and deluca did not live up to the hype. I am sure they had some good items here but the ones I picked were not the best. They can do much better in here. I would come back out of convenience but the food needs to be kicked up a notch. I suggest they eliminate some items and focus on what they do well. -

I like this location. It's clean and refreshing. They have a variety of desserts, drinks, and small bites.
It's nothing incredible but it's a good spot with hardy food. The desserts are delicious and definitely worth a try.
It's a chain spot so you know you're getting consistent quality food but it's not incredibly unique.
